Branding for the Sheffield Street Festival (previously Sheffield Music Festival & Garden Walk). This festival is a Chicago staple, featuring self-guided tours of more than 80 Gardens, guided Architectural Tours, live entertainment by some of Chicago’s and North America’s finest bands, food and drink, and activities for children at the Kids’ Corner.
The goal was to modernize the festival and make it inviting to a younger audience, while still nodding to the history of the architecture tours and garden walks. The branding was inspired by the architecture of the Sheffield neighborhood, using bricks as the building block for the logo as well as vintage windows as a secondary holding device to display the different areas of the festival. The colors are vibrant, bright and contemporary to appeal to families and a younger attendees.
