DOSE HOLIDAY MARKET GIFT GUIDE

Dose-Market

Hope you all had a great weekend! Instead of Weekend Snapshots today, I wanted to show you some of my favorite gift finds from the Dose Holiday Market. My friend and I went yesterday and it was so much fun! We got to try so many delicious samples and discovered so many amazing local vendors. What I love about all of these products is they make great unique gifts, since they are all made in Chicago and the surrounding areas. One of the best things I found were these flavored bitters and cocktail cherries. Those along with a nice bottle of scotch would make a killer gift. I brought some home for my husband and he loves them. Enjoy!

05 / WEEKEND SNAPSHOTS

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend, especially all of you folks back east. I have family and friends still without power – I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Here is a look at my weekend:

1 // Some sparkly garland and a tablecloth I scored at Target. I love this tablecloth because it’s very neutral with just a tad bit of shimmer if you look at it from a certain angle. Nick and I did a little pre-Thanksgiving shopping this weekend. With his crazy schedule we have to take advantage of his days off!  2 // I found this great info-graphic of beer in my Crate and Barrel catalog. Just found out it is from Pop Chart Lab, what an awesome site! Info-graphics are so fun to look at, there are so many details that unfold when you’re reading. When I think of designing one though, they stress me out!  3 // Another thing on our list of Thanksgiving prep was salting and baking eggplant for our eggplant parm that we will be making. This is definitely the most time consuming part. The eggplant is now breaded and baked (we like baking it to keep it on the slightly healthier side), so now all we have to do is take it out of the freezer and put it together a few days before.  4 // How cool are these glasses?! The top part is separate from the bottom, so you fill it with ice and rest your ‘glass’ over it to keep drinks cold. It would also make a great way to serve shrimp cocktail or a nice cold ceviche.  5 // I loved this Republic of Tea glass bottle so much that I made it into a little vase. The flavor was delicious too.  6 // A little card that came in the mail from someone with the same first initial as me! I love the decorative ‘J’, such a nice little touch.
